Start off from Carretera Nova /C-721 (main road of the town) and go north west towards the Camí de ses Penyes track. While crossing the town along the main road you’ll pass a petrol station on your right. Continue along the road until you reach a roundabout.
At the roundabout, turn off at the 3rd exit into a branch road leading to the Ciutadella to Maó road/Me-1.
Join the Ciutadella to Maó road/Me-1.
In approximately 1 km you’ll come to a junction on the right with a sign for the Cala en Porter road. Turn off.
Continuing along the Cala en Porter road, after some 150 m veer left, but keeping to the main road.
Around 5.6 km further on you reach the end of the main road. You’ll see a junction with the Maó to Cala en Porter road/Me-12. Giving way to vehicles on the main road, turn right into the Maó to Cala en Porter road/Me-12.
Continue by the Me-12 towards Cala en Porter. Just 3 km further on you’ll reach the development, respecting the speed limits indicated at every stage as there is a very tight curve along the way which is very dangerous if approached too fast.
When you reach the development, continue along Carrer de la Avinguda Central (central street of the development with a steep downward slope) until you see on your right a sign for “Passeig de la Platja”. Turn right here and continue descending until you reach Cala en Porter beach.
Park your vehicle in the free parking site – and enjoy!
At mid-day you can eat at any of the many restaurants along Avinguda Central or Paseo Maritimo.
In the afternoon you should not miss a visit to the internationally known Cova d’en Xoroi cave. Its sunsets form a good background for exclusive cocktails, live bands and the best music with live Dj’s. To reach this emblematic cave, look for Avinguda Central, which you’ve have already taken to get to the beach.
Taking Carrer de la Avinguda Central, continue to Calle de Xoroi. Then turn right and go on until you come to a roundabout.
At the roundabout, take the 4th exit into Calle de Mediterrania.
Continue along Calle de Mediterrania until you see a street on the right with the sign “Carrer de Cova”. Veer right down this street.
Follow Carrer de Cova until you see the exclusive parking site for visitors to Sa Cova d’en Xoroi. Park your vehicle and don’t forget to take your camera with you to take some spectacular photos while contemplating a perfect sunset.
